WINTER STORM WARNING: Weather service expects three-to-eight inches of snow Thursday night

More snow is expected in Chewelah this evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for tonight as a large wet storm system could bring between three to eight inches of snow to Eastern Washington. The warning goes into effect at 11 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12. Overnight, snow could be heavy over the mountain passes and valleys.

Travel on Friday morning will likely be hampered by the snow. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
