DON’T STEAL POLITICAL SIGNS
Since it’s that time of year, we would like to point out we are already seeing some reports of people having their political signs being taken down or thrown away. Along with being anti-First Amendment, if you’re caught stealing or removing someone else’s sign, it is a misdemeanor punishable by law. Again, why would you do this? You’re not going to change votes by these actions. Let your fellow Americans express themselves with their First Amendment rights.
AND WHILE WE ARE IN A SCOLDING MOOD
Remember to have your dog on a leash in city limits. This is for their safety and for other people’s safety as well. Your dog should not be able to roam free around town.
LET RUSSELL WILSON COOK, BUT USE OUR RECIPES BY MORGAN HANSEN
The Seattle Seahawks started the year 2-0, downing the New England Patriots 35-30 by stuffing Cam Newton at the goal line on Sunday night. Seahawks QB Russell Wilson has been having an MVP-like season so far. We keep seeing people say “Let Russell Cook” so let’s take that and change it to the Chewelah version” “Let Morgan Cook” since she provides recipes to the town every week (See page 4).
THE SEATTLE MARINERS… AREN’T HORRIBLE, BUT WHO CARES?
It’s looking like Seattle will finish about four to five games out of the wild card, which isn’t some horrible, awful season. They’re 24-30 right now and there have been some memorable plays and players this year. Why should we care? We really shouldn’t because until the team gets new ownership, we’re going to be watching mediocre baseball at T-Mobile Park until they finish the North-South Freeway in Spokane.
WHAT TO WATCH: The Pretzel Day episode of “The Office” on Netflix. It’s like when Stevens County guys are headed over for an Oasis burger.
