STATE NEWS: Governor announces restrictions on bars, restaurants and weddings/funerals

Washington Governor Jay Inslee announced today several more restrictions were going to be put into place because of continued spread of COVID-19 in the state of Washington.

The mask order was extended to include common places that are used by other people outside your home regardless if people are present or not.

-Indoor dining at restaurants by people from different households at the same table is prohibited, people meeting from different households can eat outdoors at the same table. You can still dine indoors with people from your household.

-No indoor service at bars, breweries, taverns, wineries, distilleries.

-Restaurant table sizes in Phase 3 must be reduced to five people, or occupancy of 50 percent. Their game areas (video games, pool tables, darts) must be closed down.

-Phase 2 counties must limit indoor fitness space to five customers.
-Phase 3 counties must cap indoor fitness occupancy to 25 percent and no more than 10 people in a group class.

-Bowling alleys, arcades, mini-golf and card rooms cannot be opened until Phase 4.
-Indoor movie occupancy for counties in Phase 3 is now limited to 25 percent.

-Weddings and funerals  will need to be limited to 30 people. Receptions are prohibited.

The state’s eviction moratorium was also extended.

This Saturday, the masking order goes into effect, while on July 30 the restrictions on businesses will be put into place. On Aug. 6, the wedding/funeral restrictions go into effect.
