BACK IN ACTION: Chewelah church will begin live worship on Oct. 4…
St. Paul Lutheran Church, located at 110 N. Second St. West, will return to in-person worship at 10 a.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2020. Masks and social distancing will be required.
The congregation council has created guidelines for best safety practices. Doors to the building will open at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday. The only entry point will be into the Fellowship Hall on the north side of the building (emergency exits will continue to be accessible). All worshippers will be asked to sign a contact-tracing list in case there is an occurrence of COVID in the congregation. Worship will be shortened, but will follow a familiar liturgy and offer weekly communion. There will be no singing or fellowship hour until further notice. St. Paul will continue to offer electronic access to worship through its Facebook page.
Pastor Seth Rumage will be preaching and leading worship weekly. “We are working hard to balance the need to practice our faith with the best knowledge about the COVID threat,” Pastor Seth Rumage said. “We hope to provide the best worship experience possible while also being conscious of the risks involved. We are grateful for the ability to share the Word of God, whether through in-person worship, videos on social media or through appropriately distanced pastoral visits and phone calls.” The pastor and congregation council will continue to monitor information pertaining to COVID and make appropriate decisions off that information.
St. Paul Lutheran Church invites you to join worship on October 4.
Questions or requests for congregation connection are welcome. Please call (509) 935-6311 or email pastorrumage@gmail.com for more information.
