LETTER FROM 49 DEGREES NORTH: 49 Degrees North operating normally but cancels Bavarian Rave and Hawaiian Daze
We at 49 Degrees North, like many others, are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as it develops. We will continue to follow our normal operating schedule, seen here https://ski49n.com/ops-calendar. Given the nature of the situation and consideration for our guests and staff, this plan may be subject to change. We are committed to providing a safe environment for both guests and staff, and will continue to follow all recommendations and mandates from the CDC and Washington State Health Department.
We are implementing the following precautions for the safety and health of our guests as suggested by the CDC and Washington Department of Health, and urge all guests to do the same:
– Continuing strict hygiene measures including disinfecting high traffic areas (doors, tables, etc)
– Removing seating inside the lodge to allow 6ft social distancing per CDC guideline
– Providing staff with accurate information and tools for successful protective measures
– Encouraging sick employees and guests to stay home
The following Spring Events have also been cancelled:
– Bavarian Race – 3/21/20
– Hawaiian Daze – 3/28/20
Our Ski Patrol will continue to run the raffle fundraiser, but there will be no “day of” events on March 28th. You can get more information about the raffle by emailing email@example.com
Sheimo Cup on March 14th is still on, but we will be using precautions to maintain the social distancing directive. The Park Party on March 28th will also continue as planned.
With all this being said, we still want to encourage guests to come up and ski or ride. There’s snow in the forecast and we have over 2,000 acres that are ready for turns and perfect for social distancing. We thank you all in the continued effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in our area, please reach out to us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org<mailto:email@example.com> or phone 509-935-6649 if you have any questions.
What you can do to help:
– Wash your hands
– Practice social distancing
– Stay home if you are feeling sick at all
