Thompson and McKern each score 14 in win over Wilbur…
Kettle Falls was far from hospitable Monday night when they hosted Wilbur-Creston taking the lead right away and never looking back in a 64-45 win.
The Bulldogs got 14 apiece from Matthew Thompson and Cade McKern to lead them in a game where they took a five point lead in the first and never trailed from there on out, outscoring the Wildcats in every quarter for an easy win.
In all, four players notched double digits in scoring with Braylen Pfeffer pitching in 12 and Morgan Keller adding another 11 for Kettle Falls (8-5, 3-2)
Kettle Falls will get a few days off before getting back on the court when they hit the road to face Davenport Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
Mya Edwards notches 23 points in victory…
The Kettle Falls Bulldogs used strong defense and good offense to distance themselves from the visiting Wilbur-Creston Wildcats on Monday to come away with a 61-36 win.
The Bulldogs scored 10 in the first quarter, equaling the Wildcats output for the entire first half. For good measure, Kettle Falls tacked on another 22 points in the second behind Mya Edwards 23 game-high points to take a big lead by the half. Wilbur-Creston came out stronger in the third, but they were no match for the spirited Bulldogs (9-5, 3-2) squad with victory on its mind.
Zarah Johnson added another 12 points for Kettle Falls along with 9 from Samantha Dudley to help lead the team,
It’s back on the road for the Bulldogs Jan. 24 when they take on Davenport beginning at 6 p.m.
