KCHW hosting Chewelah’s Got Talent VI: Lockdown

(STAFF REPORTS/Chewelah Independent)

Chewelah’s Got Talent will continue regardless of the pandemic.

KCHW 102.7 FM Northern Lights Public Radio announced it will be holding “Chewelah’s Got Talent VI: Lockdown!” in September.

The radio station has held several “American Idol”-type contests through the years known as Chewelah’s Got Talent, but this year presents a tough issue with the COVID-19 virus.

This year, KCHW is asking people to create submission via a 3-5 minute video. This can be submitted by a variety of digital ways.

KCHW is hoping to have cash prizes and a People’s Choice Award with online voting.

These prizes and awards will be given out during the radio station’s biggest live audio and video broadcast ever. Winners will be featured and awarded their winnings live on Facebook Live, Youtube and KCHW FM.
