NEED IN THE AREA: Let a newly created citizen group know about the need for a recreational center…
Would you like a recreation center in the Colville Valley area? Do you think a recreation center would benefit residents?
If so, the Colville Valley Recreation Center Collaborative would like you to complete a brief online survey so they can collect more data before moving forward with the project.
The survey will be open until November 15, 2019 and can be accessed at http://bit.ly/ColvilleValleyRecCtr (the web address is case-sensitive). The survey can also be accessed from the group’s Facebook page – just search for Colville Valley Recreation Center Collaborative.
The Colville Valley Recreation Center Collaborative (CVRCC) is a newly created citizen group based in the greater Colville Valley area. The group is working together to determine community interest in a recreation facility and assess the need and desire for particular amenities and programs within such a facility.
In February, an initial survey was conducted that showed tremendous support for a recreation facility in this area. However, the CVRCC has determined that additional data needs to be collected in order to effectively move forward with the project.
The survey will help CVRCC identify current recreation habits of those who live in the Colville valley and surrounding area as well as help the group determine primary gaps and needs. This survey was designed using the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) planning guidelines as a guide, ensuring that they will have the detailed information needed to apply for RCO grants, and others if needed, in the ongoing development of a recreation facility.
