Chewelah gearing up for postseason meet in the Bs at Harrington

“We’re ready for the races,” says Coach Ed Anegon as he prepares his cross-country teams for the District 7 Championship Meet this Saturday on the Harrington Golf Course.
“The district meet will be a good gauge of where we are as individuals and as a team moving into regional competition the following week. This Saturday’s races will have no effect on qualification for regionals other than setting our top seven runners to run at districts.
Chewelah will host both the 1A and B regional races at the local golf and country club on November 2. Top runners from this meet will qualify to compete in the state cross-country meet in Pasco on November 9.
“As for regionals, we are excited to be back on the fast track that is the Chewelah Golf Course and eager to host a combined regional with the 1As,” continued Anegon. “I'm not into the prediction game whatsoever, but I think we have a good shot at berths to state. As far as health, we are right where we need to be.”
