(STAFF REPORTS/Chewelah Independent)
The award-winning Chewelah Farmers Market will still be opening on May 8 at the Chewelah City Park. If for some reason there is a change in rules, the market will move to the Chewelah Evangelical Free Church.
With parks opening back up on May 5, the Farmers Market will be open on Fridays from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Vendors booths will be farther apart, there will be a new hand-washing station and vendors will be the only ones handling produce.
The Farmers Market is holding off on special events like the Cherry Splat and Zucchini Regatta until later in the year. The market may do some different types of contests via social media.
