The Jenkins High School Cheerleaders are hosting a Cougar Mini Cheer Camp on Jan. 19 to teach kids a cheer and dance routine they will perform at half time during that night’s boys varsity basketball game.
The camp is open to all Kindergarten through 6th graders and costs $12 per participant.
The morning clinic will take place from 8:30 a.m. to Noon at the JHS Gym. The JHS cheerleaders will teach the performance routine they choreographed to fit all ages and participants will be grouped according to grade.
All participants must register at the door prior to the clinic. Registration is available from 8-8:30 a.m. unless prearranged with the coach.
Participants must bring water and a snack for themselves as no food is provided. Also, wear appropriate gym clothes and shoes.
To keep camp costs low, there will be no t-shirts available at this camp so participants are encouraged to dress in school colors (navy blue and white) for the game.
The Jan. 19 Chewelah varsity boys basketball game (vs. the Lakeside Eagles) is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. at Jenkins High School. Camp participants will be expected at the JHS cafeteria at 4:15 p.m. to warm up and review the material learned earlier that day prior to their performance.
