The public is invited to learn more about the design and current project status for several key US 395 intersections in the city of Deer Park.
The Washington State Department of Transportation will present designs for the Short/Main and Monroe/Crawford intersections at a public meeting, Thursday, Aug. 18 at Deer Park High School. The event will begin with a formal presentation at 6 p.m., followed by a question and answer session with project staff.
Included in this project is a partial closure of the Burroughs/Dalton intersection, and paving Short Road on the west side of US 395. More information can be viewed in advance on the study website and comments can be submitted prior to the public meeting.
Over the past few months, WSDOT evaluated intersection-related collisions at several locations on US 395 in the Deer Park area. As part of the study, the agency worked with the community to develop low-cost alternatives to improve traffic and safety at these intersections.
