I am supporting Wes McCart for County Commissioner. There is no one more qualified to assume the position Larry Guenther is vacating. For 17 years, Wes has been a tireless volunteer on the issues that are important to the citizens of Stevens County.
Wes has attended more than 100 commissioner meetings. He is the past President of the Stevens County Farm Bureau. He has served on and has chaired committees on property rights and land use issues, water and water rights issues, wildlife management, and farm issues. He has testified before the commissioners and the legislature.
But most of all Wes is not going anywhere, and is your local representative that will do everything possible to protect the rights of the people of Stevens County. He is a farmer and businessman that is continually fighting the restrictive elements of the Growth Management Act. In just two years the commissioners will be required to update our shorelines planning policies. These policies will affect anyone with running water on or near their property, and if left to Olympia would devastate the property rights in this county.
Wes is respected by the legislature and the elected officials of this region, and knows the economy is the major issue facing us presently. As a businessman he understands what a devastating effect that burdensome and restrictive regulations have on local businesses. Wes has the experience to wade through the “STUFF” and advocate for the “REAL WORLD” in the midst of the special interests and the area of “BIG GOVERNMENT.”
Also, Wes has indicated that he is willing to serve multiple terms as commissioner. Stevens County needs continuity on the Commission to tackle the issues facing us today.
Help us elect Wes McCart as the people’s representative from the First District in Stevens County.
