The Washington State Department of Natural Resources has a new, official logo representing the local landscapes DNR manages for healthy forests, wildlife habitat, clean water and sustainable revenue for public schools, counties and other state trust land beneficiaries.
Created by DNR graphic designers, the new logo replaces an abstract design in use since 1984. The new logo will be phased in over time, as physical items using the old logo are depleted or replaced. It was created to be easily reproduced in a variety of situations, while reflecting the department’s broad responsibilities, from managing Washington’s 5.6 million acres of trust lands to protecting millions of acres of public and private land from wildfire. The DNR logo is a registered trademark of the Washington Secretary of State, and may be used with permission from DNR Communications.
