Colville gets home win
Colville’s defense got things started and the Jordyn True led offense finished things off Tuesday in a 64-40 win over the visiting Lakeside Eagles.
The indians held Lakeside to just three points in the opening quarter allowing the offense to open up a 14 point lead just eight minutes into the game. Colville kept the pressure on throughout the game and added to the lead in all but one quarter for the big win.
Jordyn True, AsNe’a Anderson, and McKenna Reggear all scored in double digits to lead Colville (7-5, 2-2) in scoring on the night. True led all scorers with 19, while Anderson had 13 and Reggear pitched in 11.
Colville faces off with RIverside at home Jan. 16 at 7:15 p.m.
Cusick sneaks by Hunters
Hunters took to the road Tuesday nigth for a game with Cusick, with both teams eyeing a victory.
The two played squarely throughout the most of the game and saw the Lions turn a two point deficit at half into a two pint lead after a 10-6 third quarter. However, Cusick went on a fourth quarter 17-8 run to go home with a 44-37 win.
Hunters (1-8, 1-5) plays host to Selkirk Jan. 17 beginning at 6 p.m. when they hit the court next.
