The Northeast Tri County Health District reported 87 new cases of COVID-19 that were reported on Wednesday, Dec. 2 in Ferry, Pend Oreille and Stevens County. This was the highest one-day total that the area has seen for new cases.
There have been 435 new cases of COVID-19 in the tri-county area in the past two weeks. Stevens County has seen 290 new cases in the past two weeks.
Ferry County reported 11 new cases, Pend Oreille County saw 30 new cases and Stevens County tallied 46 new cases.
There are now 64 reported cases in Chewelah since the pandemic began in the spring.
