The Chewelah Arts Guild is excited to produce this year’s Community Arts Show. It will include works by a variety of local and regional artists of all ages, media and proficiencies. Some are professional artists. Some teach art. Some are student artists. Some are hobbyists. Some are playful. Some are very serious about what they do. All are deeply engaged while learning about and creating their art. The artists who participate in the show, and all people who attend the Arts Show, discover something more than simple entertainment. At the core of this event is a unique sense of community and the power of creative expression.
Here are the TOP TEN reasons to attend the Community Arts Show:

Be sure to attend this unique event to see the work of new and known local artists! Invite friends and family to the Civic Center, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14 and 15, from 1-5 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 16, from noon to 3 p.m. It’s FREE to attend and it’s FREE to participate. This year, the Chewelah Arts Guild is planning an Artists Reception on Sunday, Feb. 16 from 2-3 p.m.
Teachers who would like to bring students through the exhibit before scheduled hours on Friday, Feb. 14th, are welcome to do so. Contact Leslie: 675-0910 to make arrangements.
Artists who would like to submit work can find required registration packets at: www.chewelahartsguild.org, or at Valley Drug Co., Jean Bean’s Coffee, Flowery Trail Coffee House or at the Chewelah Library. Artists can also register on site on Thursday, Feb. 13 when they bring their work for display, 1-5:30 p.m..
