To hell with the old? I don’t think so! I recently had the privilege of working for another of our senior citizens. This lady wasn’t senile, stupid, or lazy. On the contrary, she was bright, cheerful, and knew exactly want she wanted. She had several large and tall trees by her house that scared her when the wind blew, and she feared they might fall on her home.
While I was working, the customer’s daughter-in-law arrived visibly and verbally upset. She informed me to “think of the future owners” of this property. She showed no respect toward what the homeowner of 50 years wanted, implying her mother-in-law had nothing better to do than worry about the trees falling.
We all want to leave things for our children, but its getting pretty bad when the spouses of our children try to take our treasures before we are done with them. We have worked for what we have, so let us enjoy them while we can. If we’re not dying quick enough then get off your butt and build something yourself.
If you hear the raving of a gold-digger, please ask yourself if this person is even worth listening to.
I’ve been living and working in the Chewelah area for 20 years. I enjoy meeting and talking with people and strive to make my customers happy. You might not like what your neighbor likes – we all have different ideas. I try to please my customers and most always do.
