Kathryn Lawrence hits home run for Bulldogs…
Kettle Falls and Inchelium each took a game to get in the win columns on the season when they met for a doubleheader Friday, splitting the games 10-9 and 6-4.
A seven-run final inning pushed Kettle Falls past Inchelium in the opener after entering the inning behind 8-3.
Jocelyn Glover pitched the whole game for the Bulldogs to get the win and added a double with the bat in the game. Kathryn Lawrence had three hits with a homerun to lead the Bulldogs offense. Inchelium’s Rylee Desautel was a single shy of the cycle in the losing effort.
Inchelium (1-3, 0-2) flipped the script in the second game, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth to break a 4-4 tie and get the win over Kettle Falls (1-5, 0-4).
Olivia Miller kept the Bulldogs in the game with a strong pitching performance despite the loss, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Hornets bats in the game.
Kettle Falls will travel to take on Wilbur-Creston April 12 starting at 2 p.m.
