Colville gets the win…
Colville outplayed visiting Riverside in the final quarter of their Thursday night matchup to pull off the come from behind win by a 58-55 score.
The Indians started things off on a good note with a five point lead after one and took that lead into the half, but the Rams came back in the third to take a narrow lead into the last quarter. In that last frame Colville took things back behind a game-high 21 from Rhett Foulkes to get the victory.
Jory Dotts scored another 18 in the game for Colville (4-9, 1-4) to compliment Foulkes on the night. Next up, the Indians will travel to Freeman for a Jan. 18 game beginning at 4 p.m.
Kettle Falls scores the win…
Kettle Falls used an 18-8 first quarter run to get things going and rode that momentum all the way to a road win over Northwest Christian Thursday night 57-36.
The Bulldogs outscored the Crusaders in every quarter on the night, led by Matthew Thomspson’s 23 points, to come away with the easy win,
Thomspson’s 23 pushed him over 1,000 points in his playing career for Kettle Falls (7-4, 2-2). Morgan Keller pitched in 10 for the Bulldogs, who will travel to Oroville Jan. 18 to take on the Hornets at 7:30 p.m.
Springdale gets road win
Springdale went on the road Thursday night to take on Valley Christian, coming home with a 59-49 win over the Panthers.
The Chargers spotted the Panthers a first quarter lead, but quickly reclaimed the lead for themselves in the second quarter to carry a four point lead into the half, which they never relinquished the rest of the way.
Three Springdale (5-7, 1-0) players scored in double digits led by 14 from Braden Parker. Parker got help from Devin Glenn (12 points) and Avery Kitt (11) to get the win. The Chargers will get the weekend off before traveling down to Wilbur-Creston for a Jan. 21 game. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
