Chewelah area will dip into single digits with chance of snow
Bundle up, things are about to get really chilly.
After getting the first substantial snowfall of the year, the Chewelah area will now be battered with single-digit temperatures. The low for tonight is expected to the be three degrees, according to the National Weather service. Those single-digit lows in the evening should continue for more of this week.
Thursday is expected to have a 30 percent chance of snow showers.
Tuesday will have a high of 17, while windchill values could be low as -8 because of north winds three to six m.p.h. The night temperatures will drop down to four degrees with wind chill values as low as -5.
Wednesday will bring a high of 17 and a low of 11.
After Thursday’s possible snow storms, the tempreture should rise to its highest of the week at a balmy 26 degrees. Total snow accumulation is expected to be one inch.
Friday will see a high of 22 and a low of six, while Saturday will have a high of 17 and a low of five degrees.
