One dazzling September morning, I had just finished my working week and finally had a day off. I went to my niece’s home to pick some berries from her amazing garden. I sat on a stool in one place and picked enough berries to make a pie, never moving. This woman is constantly astounding me. She, with her husband and daughter manage to work full-time, grow an absolutely incredible garden, raise chickens and other animals, grow grass for hay and have multiple hobbies on the side in their “spare” time.
The berries, so lush, practically fell into my waiting hands; I was overwhelmed at their bounty! I thought, “This is what the founding fathers had in mind when they drafted the constitution.” Here is a family, not born with a silver spoon, but through time and adversity has made a life from hard work and the land. This is what all Americans should be doing; what we all should aspire to.
The current leadership of this country would have us trade this productivity, by a single family, out of love for God and country, for dependence on government which cannot provide these things for, but wants us to give up the rights and privileges for which we live in the United States of America!
I for one, salute this family, because they stand for what is right and good in this world – won’t you join me!?
God Bless America – again, we can stand for change, one person at a time!
