Community Celebrations and Dr. Henry F. (Bud) and Diane Evans, are proud to announce the Spokane Symphony’s tenth annual concert, Music on the Mountain X. The event will be held at Chewelah Peak Learning Center from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on September 8, 2012.
The orchestra’s musical selections are a combination of super-pops and classical. The conductor selects pieces that highlight popular and familiar music ranging from Broadway shows, movies, and television tunes to popular and familiar classical pieces.
Tickets went on sale July 1. Tickets are available at the following ticket agencies: Akers United Drug, Valley Drug, Chewelah Chamber of Commerce, AmericanWest Bank, The Independent, and Flowery Trail Coffee House. Make sure to buy your tickets early before they are sold out.
Doors open at 1 p.m. (no early birds) and patrons should arrive between 1 p.m. and 1:45p.m. for the 2 p.m. concert start. Gourmet hors d’oeuvres, prepared by Chewelah Peak Learning Center’s head chef, Dan DelCupp and his staff, are included in the ticket price. A box of hors d’oeuvre selections and complementary bottle of water will be presented to each patron at the door (refreshments will be available between 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. only.) Intermission will include a quick stretch break and a chance to visit friends.
Seating is open and all seats are exceptional. The acoustics are perfect for the concert; you will be able to hear each instrument individually as they join together to provide two hours of beautiful, inspirational, and moving music.
Arrive early and take a few minutes to walk around Chewelah Peak Learning Center campus to see how they continue to grow and change. Check out the dorms, beautiful paver walkways and roadways, split rail fencing, half-court basketball arena next to an outdoor pavilion, fire pits, and with a short walk, check out the hillside amphitheater.
