Sety’s Ace Hardware, at 301 E. Main Ave. in Chewelah, will be celebrating Paul and Jessica Sety’s sixth anniversary on Saturday, October 20 with their annual fall event. Store hours on Saturday are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“This annual event is an opportunity for the community to get together, have some fun, and help us celebrate,” Paul Sety said.
There will be fresh apple cider available from an old-fashioned hand crank press. Sety asks for people to bring clean apples and donate to the hospital auxiliary to try some fresh cider. He also encourages people to bring their own jugs, if possible. Shoppers in the store can also enjoy a free slice of pumpkin pie.
Members of the Providence St. Joseph Hospital auxiliary will be serving hot dog meals, with the proceeds benefiting the hospital through the Children’s Miracle Network.
Kids are encouraged to enter the coloring contest and enjoy some cool prizes.
Also in the store, there will be hourly prize drawings and a grand prize drawing for a new barbecue. Sety said that winners will not need to be present to win.
Sety’s will be offering Benjamin Moore paints at 30 percent off and a coupon, available only in the October 18 edition of The Independent, will give 50 percent off a single item under $30 (with some restrictions).
The Setys are always trying to improve the shopping experience for their customers and provide a friendly environment. In January 2013 they will be remodeling the housewares department to better serve the small appliance and housewares needs of Chewelah. The sporting goods, toys, and paint departments will also see some changes.
Stop in Saturday, October 20 to help the Setys celebrate.
