The Rev it Up for the Vets annual Car Show is coming to Chewelah this Saturday, Aug. 6. The car show is free to all participants and guests, and open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Chewelah City Park. The Veteran Recognition Ceremony will begin at 12 p.m. All proceeds from Friday’s cruise and Saturday’s show will benefit the local American Legion Post.
The night before the car show get ready to rock, rumble, and have a rollickin’ good time in downtown Chewelah.
Walk, drive, or ride to the Rev It Up for Vets car cruise on Friday, Aug. 5 and if you’ve got an orange car/truck/bike, park it in the special “orange lot” after the cruise.
Classic rock? Pop rock? A little country? A Disney score or two? All kinds of music is on tap for Chewelah Arts Guild’s Friday evening, “Dancing with the Cars” and Rev It Up for Vets car cruise, 6 p.m. on Main & Third streets. The family friendly song and dance band, Six-Strings n’ Pearls band will be playing from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with dance contests interspersed.
Thanks goes to Ed Broberg Photography for sponsoring this live band.
“Go ORANGE” or get into “costume” for a chance to win a costume award or take a selfie/picture in a photo booth provided by Black Sheep Vintage. It’s rumored the Vets and many others will be dressed in orange for the evening.
Feeling a bit tired or thirsty, grab an orange or rootbear float and check out the “Colorful Chewelah” coloring book on sale for the first time Friday evening. Take time to write a note to a veteran at the Rev It Up booth or visit the Cowgirls & Women’s Warriors booth.
This free community event is appropriate for all ages. Come on down and twist the night away.
