RCW 70.54.090 Attachment of objects to utility poles-Penalty.
(1) It shall be unlawful to attach to utility poles any of the following: Advertising signs, posters, vending machines, or any similar object which presents a hazard to, or endangers the lives of, electrical workers. Any attachment to utility poles shall only be made with the permission of the utility involved, and shall be placed not less than twelve feet above the surface of the ground.
(2) A person violating this section is guilty of a misdemeanor.
During the week of May 1-7 the Chewelah P.D. handled 42 calls. Approximately 26 of the calls involved contacting motorists, suspicious vehicles and persons. We also took a runaway report; a missing person; and two vehicles were reportedly prowled. A person harmed herself slightly during a domestic incident; a noise complaint; an info report; and one or two people were hauled to jail for having warrants. An harassment complaint; a citizen assist; a welfare check and another juvenile runaway report.
