Chewelah Business Development Services (Chewelah BDS) classes and other offerings have been approved for individuals enrolled in the State’s Self-Employment Assistance Program (SEAP). While participating in the Self-Employment Assistance program, an individual can receive entrepreneurial training to start their own business which can provide employment for the individual and people they hire.
SEAP is a unique opportunity for the individual to enter into self-employment entrepreneurial training and receive business counseling while they collect unemployment benefits. While enrolled in an approved training program, they don have to look for other work and meet job-search requirements in order to collect their benefits.
Chewelah BDS offers a broad range of services that includes business classes, mentors, referrals to micro-loan programs, and access to business incubator facilities. If you are currently eligible for unemployment benefits, contact Ralph at Chewelah BDS (509-690-7340) for an intake assessment to determine which classes will be incorporated into your training program and assistance in filling out the necessary paperwork to apply for enrollment in SEAP.
If you are not eligible for unemployment benefits and want to start your own business, contact us and we will work with you to design the right training program that will get you started on your way. More information about what Chewelah BDS offers is available at www.chewelahbds.org.
