There are lots of things going on this weekend for Nostalgia Days, here’s the schedule…
MAY 27 — Jazzin’ in the Park
Jazzin’ in the Park will be at a new time this year. The Jenkins High School Jazz Band will start playing at 6 p.m. Friday, May 27 at the Chewelah City Park’s main stage. The Jenkins High School Jazz Band will begin their performance at 6 p.m. featuring vocalist Merideth Kirry. If it rains, the concert will move to the JJSHS Cafeteria.
Immediately following the concert, the Chewelah Community Float will be on display and the Distinguished Young Women will demonstrate their routines for the local crowd, weather permitting.
MAY 28 — Nostalgia Days Car Show
You are all invited to join The Chokes & Spokes Antique Car Club for Nostalgia Days in the beautiful Chewelah City Park on Saturday, May 28, 2016.
The Chokes & Spokes Antique Car Club member’s featured car is a 1948 Studebaker Starlight Coupe. Cars, trucks and motorcycles are invited to join it in the park so owners can swap stories and visitors can admire them. The park is open at 9 a.m. and awards will be presented at 3 p.m. This is a family friendly, free event. A silent auction will be held and a win-an-item raffle to cover expenses and set aside funds for a scholarship.

MAY 28-29 — Chewelah Quilt Show
The Chewelah Quilt Show, sponsored by the Chewelah Arts Guild will be at Jenkins Junior Senior High School gym. Saturday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $3.
Saturday also offers the tea room in the cafeteria for special treats, featuring a local art exhibit from Chris Lehwalder, for an additional $5 donation.
MAY 27-29 — Park Avenue Players present spring play
The Park Avenue Players will present their second and final weekend of “A Little Murder Never Hurt Anybody” directed by Cheri Freeman and presented at the Chewelah Civic Center on May 27-29. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Cost is $10 at the door. See more info Page 2.
MAY 27-30 — Museum Opening Weekend
The Walter E. Goodman Historical Museum will be open for the season on Friday, May 27. Hours for the weekend are:
