On Friday afternoon, the NE Tri County Health District reported 20 additional cases of COVID-19 in the region. Stevens County saw 14 cases including one from Chewelah and one from Loon Lake. Pend Oreille County had four new cases including two in Newport. Ferry County had two new cases.
There has been 424 cases of COVID-19 for the area in the past two weeks. Stevens County has seen 279 new cases in two weeks.
Colville continues to be an outbreak point as seven new cases were reported in the city, bumping up the pandemic total to 255 cases. Chewelah now has had 65 cases of COVID-19, and the Nine Mile Falls area has seen 173 cases.
Yesterday, the health district reported its biggest one day total – 87 new cases – for COVID 19 in NE Washington. The total for this week was 138 new cases reported.
