NATIONAL NEWS: A record of 71K new cases set on July 16

Here are the national COVID-19 numbers from the COVID Tracking Project. Washington reported 742 cases yesterday, 17 news deaths and 372 people are currently hospitalized. You’ll note that there were a record number of new COVID-19 cases, but keep in mind the United States also set a record for most tests in one day: 831,000.
