Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, 5th District, U.S. Representative, House of Representatives, participated in the Chataqua Parade with her two year old daughter, Grace Blossom. Also in the parade with McMorris Rodgers was Republican candidate for Governor, Rob McKenna. The group consisted of several vehicles decorated with American flags and adorned with political signs for other Republicans running for local office. McMorris Rodgers took the time to introduce herself and speak to residents along the parade route.
After the parade, McMorris Rodgers went over to the Chewelah City Park to speak with residents enjoying the various arts and crafts and other products available during the Fair. Rob McKenna also made himself available to the public in the vending area and answered questions from the public.
McMorris Rodgers then visited the new Stevens County Republican headquarters in Chewelah and toured the facility. She met and spoke with Republicans working in the headquarters and complimented them on their efforts. After spending time in Chewelah, McMorris Rodgers left to attend another fair event in Spokane County.
