Marilyn Y. Delgado
Marilyn Y. Delgado of Loon Lake, Washington, died August 10 at Holy Family Hospital at the age of 82. Born in 1936 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Jim and Fran Dewey, the family moved to Spokane in 1943.
Early in life, Marilyn enjoyed square dancing, time at the lake and raising her children, John and Lori. She was an active member of the Moose, earning the distinction of State Co-Worker of the year in 1988-89. Marilyn married Tony Delgado in 1990.
Later in life, Marilyn loved fishing, quilting, target practice and playing cards with her siblings, Meredith (Ken) Chartrey, Richard (Sharon) Dewey, Carol (Leroy) Dunn and Jim (Marge) Dewey. She leaves behind her husband, siblings, children and their spouses, John (Rita) Morris, Lori Paluck, Andy Delgado, and Rich (Meg) Delgado. Marilyn is also missed by her six grandchildren, their spouses and her five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Susan B. Komen Fund. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on September 8th at the Danekas Funeral Home in Chewelah, Washington, with a reception to follow at the American Legion Hall in Chewelah, Washington.
