Stevens County 4-H’ers Andrew Minaker, Morgan Hopkins and Sadie Beardall recently competed at the Eastern National 4-H Horse Roundup in Kentucky in the National Hippology Contest. Hippology is a horse knowledge competition consisting of four phases: horse judging, written examination and slide identification, ID stations and team problem solving. Items in the four phases may cover any equine subject.
The team placed sixth in the problem solving phase of the contest at nationals. Individually each placed in the top 50. This group earned the honor of representing Washington by placing first in the state contest.
