Sunny weather on Sunday, Oct. 2, brought out bicyclists for the Lions Half Century Fall Bike Tour. The largest group of participants, the Baddlanders Cycling Club (with Chewelah’s own Isaac Cochran) quickly did the 50-mile course. Cochran was the youngest rider in the race.
Boy Scout Troop 998 manned the Valley and Waitts Lake water stations while other Chewelah Valley Lions doled out water and cookies in Springdale.
