Detours can take up to an hour…
WSDOT has announced that the Keller Ferry will be out of service for two weeks as crews work to replace the terminal and pontoons. This could lead to an hour delay for commuters across the Columbia River on State Route 21.
The closure begins today and will last until Oct. 2.
“This project will replace severely corroded terminal pontoons on both sides of the Columbia River, helping preserve the vital ferry service for many more years,” the release further states.
Alternate routes include taking state route 25, state route 155 or State Route 174, but add an hour to travel times.
