Businesses will be legally required to turn down customers who don’t wear facial coverings starting next week as Gov. Jay Inslee has announced a statewide requirement today, July 2.
During a press conference Inslee made the announcement that starting Tuesday, July 7, making it a legal requirement for businesses to only serve those wearing some sort of facial covering. The order is similar to one already in place in Yakima County.
Inslee also announced a pause on all counties moving from their current “Safe Start Washington” reopening phases for two weeks, as well as the removal of bar and counter service at restaurants and taverns from Phase 3 allowances.
