Annemarie Demarco September 21, 1952-May 4, 2020
Annemarie Demarco passed away suddenly at her home in Hunters, WA on May 4, 2020. Annemarie was born as the only child to John and Ann Naporano on September 21, 1953 in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
Annemarie grew up having a good relationship with her father. That good relationship instilled good work ethic into Annemarie. It’s no wonder that West Point Military Academy hired her to work in their offices on campus.
It was there that she met her future husband. The couple married and soon after that moved to Stuttgart, Germany. It was there that their only child, Christie Davila, was born. Soon after Christy’s birth, the little family moved back to the United States.
Annemarie spent many years working for the VA in Fayetteville, NC. She loved her work and her skills were in high demand there. If something needed special attention, Annemarie was the person for the job. Her attention to detail was unmatched.
Eventually, after retirement, Annemarie moved to Spokane, WA to be near her family. That move to Spokane, after time, led Annemarie to move to Chewelah, WA. The rural life called to Annemarie. Soon property was purchased in Hunters, WA and she settled into life there.
Annemarie’s final years were spent doing the things that interested and calmed her. Over the years of her life she developed an appreciation for poetry. In addition to reading poetry Annemarie loved writing it. She spent much time with pencil and paper creating poetic masterpieces. Her love of reading religious, motivational and suspenseful novels fostered an interest in other areas.
Annemarie’s creative abilities were not limited to poetry. She spent hours in coloring Mandala books, learning to crochet and serving others in the community of Hunters, WA. Annemarie will be sorely missed by those who knew her.
