I am so happy to tell you that my 3rd annual Inland North West Honor Flight Nacho Feed in Chewelah on March 10 was a HUGE success. We served 214 people and raised $2979 that night – that’s $1000 and 103 more people than last year. Plus, almost $1300 more has been sent in the mail to me for INWHF. Wow! This community is awesome! So far you all have helped me raise $18,364.54 for our WWII Veterans. In just over two years and four total Nacho Dinners you all have helped me send a whole group of very deserving Veterans on a very deserving trip.
Every penny donated really helps, especially now because SW Airlines is no longer donating tickets for the trips for our local hub (they still donate to start-up hubs). This raises the average cost per Veteran to almost $1000. There are two flights scheduled so far this year, that’s all the money HF has right now. That leaves almost 175 Veterans still waiting for a trip of a lifetime. And please know that 95-97% of all donations go directly to fund our Veteran’s flights.
Thank you again so much for honoring our greatest generation. I really appreciate your support for these men and women. See you next year on Saturday, March 9 for the 4th annual INWHF Nacho Feed in Chewelah.
