I am a Certified Master Gardener, which is a volunteer program administered by WSU Extension Service in Stevens County. Four years ago when I enrolled in the training program, I was a novice gardener interested in learning more, and volunteering to support gardening-related learning in my newly-adopted county. I continue to be highly impressed with the in-depth information and courses available through this program. I can not think of a better way to improve skills while giving back to our community by volunteering. My fellow Master Gardeners, many of whom are highly experienced gardeners, are kind and dedicated.
I applaud our County Commissioners for their continued support of this program for the benefit of our county, and WSU Extension Services for providing it.
If you have an interest in gardening, consider joining our team, even if you are a novice. The next course starts in January of 2017, and the application deadline is November 18. For more information please either visit the website http://stevens.wsu.edu, email our Master Gardener coordinator Adena Sabins at email@example.com, or call 509-684-2588. Certified Master Gardeners are also available to share their experience of the course and volunteering.
