Valley School staff members will be taking to the stage for a humorous presentation of “Aesop’s Foibles” on Thursday and Friday, May 2 and 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Valley School.
The community is invited to see storybook icons like the egomaniac Hare, the sluggish Tortoise, the Zen-like Grasshopper, and more, come to life as hysterical characters onstage that only Aesop and the audience can see and hear. With his mind crowded with all these big personalities, Aesop can hardly think straight. The only way to find peace of mind and freedom is to let the characters out and share them with the world.
This lively show is jam-packed with clever dialogue, mad-cap action and modern, uproarious twists, retelling the fables like you’ve never quite heard them before! The play, produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Services, Inc., is based on the book by Flip Kobler and Cindy Marcus, music by Dennis Poore, lyrics by Flip Kobler, and directed by Theresa Carr.
General admission is $5 at the door.
