If you drove through Chewelah last Thursday night, you probably saw a bunch of people walking around town. The arts guild was having their annual “Taste of Chewelah” event that featured art, live performers and local food for you to sample in several different spots around town.
It was a unique event and got me out of my comfort zone to see new foods that I hadn’t yet experienced in town despite my habit of eating out almost every single day because, you know… journalism.
This perked my brain and made me want to make my own “Taste of Chewelah” that isn’t meant to detract from the arts guild’s, because judging from the crowds at the brewery and Sporty’s – you guys really, really like that food. This is just my own personal preference that you can experience anytime. Call it “Brandon’s stumbling through Chewelah hungry because you’ve been laying out the newspaper for the past 12 hours.”
