Ann Marie Benedict and her students at Northern Ballet and Performing Arts studio in Chewelah will present their annual Dance Festival at the Colville High School auditorium on Friday, June 10 at 7 p.m. The performance showcases the hard work and talent of Ann Marie and her students, from the young beginners to the graceful advanced intermediates. Melanie Huff, Sierra Rasmussen, Bailey McCoy, and Kana Kaneda, a JHS exchange student from Japan, will be the soloists.
[ihc-hide-content ihc_mb_type=”show” ihc_mb_who=”reg” ihc_mb_template=”-1″ ]The NBPA students will be joined by the acclaimed Haran Irish Dancers of Kettle Falls under the direction of Claire Worley, and by Hannah Johnson, a two time national clogging champion. Also, sisters Rachael, on violin, and Emma Larsen, vocalist, will perform “Shatter Me” by Lindsey Stirling. Emma and Rachael are both violinists with the Spokane Youth Symphony Sinfonietta.
As always, a delightful assortment of refreshments will be available for purchase during intermission. The proceeds help defray the cost of the dancers’ gorgeous costumes.
Tickets purchased in advance are $10 for adults, $6 for students, and at the door $12 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets will be available at Akers United Drug and Main Street Bistro in Chewelah and R.E. Lee Shoe Co. in Colville.
