Kettle Falls’ Easton Pomrankey won the Northwest Christian Josh Wright Memorial Jamboree on Tuesday, running the two mile “mud run” course in 12:14. Newport’s Chloe Jones won the girls race, notching a time of 15:17, while Kettle Falls’ Emily Montgomery took second with a time of 15:47.
On the girls side, Kiana Johnson was the top Chewelah finisher, placing 16th with a time of 18:37, while teammate Rayna Kircher was 20th with a mark of 19:20.
Kettle Falls saw Zarahemla Johnson finish fifth with a time of 17:05.
In the boys race, Chewelah had three runners in the top 20 for their first action of the season. Zeke Crockett placed 12th with a time of 14:08 while Wyatt Smith was 17th notching a 14:30 time and Cole Foster finishing 20th as a freshman with a time of 14:39.8.
