July 16: Paddle & Saddle fundraiser
The Rose Garden Healing Lodge is holding its 6th annual Paddle & Saddle fundraiser Saturday, July 16 at Round Lake Pow Wow Grounds just six miles west of the Inchelium center on Bridgecreek Road.
Local and regional horseman and ATV enthusiasts will enjoy approximately 3+ hours of a guided trail ride over beautiful mountain top ridges. They will make five brief stops for a poker-style opportunity to win money and prizes totaling over $2,350 thanks to Colville Confederated Tribes and local sponsors.
Later in the day those same riders and/or others can venture out in their canoe/kayaks for a leisure paddle with more opportunities to win; extra kayaks will be available. Meanwhile, family and friends who stay behind will be treated to music, food, kid’s games, crafts, silent and kid’s auction, vendors and more.
Registration tables open at 7:30 a.m. and rides begin at 8:30 a.m. with the ATVs leaving before the horses. Later in the afternoon, the paddlers enter the water so a person could both “paddle and saddle” if desired. All groups will start and end at Round Lake with plenty of parking for trailers. The Ferry leaves the Gifford side on the quarter hours and no drop hitches are allowed so plan accordingly.
The is an alcohol and drug free family fundraiser event. Each event costs $35 for adults and $15 for youth under 18 years old with $10 extra chance cards. If you paddle and saddle, you will pay only $60 with double the chance to win.
Inquiries about this year’s event or The Rose Garden Healing Lodge can be sent to email@example.com or call 722-7064 Monday-Thursday before 3 p.m. Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor, volunteer, vendor ($25 vendor fee) or in making donations of art, crafts or other items for the auction is encouraged to contact us early.
Registrations can be picked up at the Inchelium Health and Physical Therapy Clinics or find us on Facebook. Early Registrations ensures T-shirt selection and makes the morning process easier as you prepare your gear.
