The Chewelah Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to organize another project: The Annual Chewelah Community Clean-up Day on Saturday, April 20, 2013.
This event was extremely successful last year. Over fifty people, of all ages, showed up with brooms, rakes, shovels, hoses and gloves to spruce up, clean up, pick up, trim up, wash up, sweep up, and pull up.
If you’re interested in taking part in this year’s Earth Day celebration, meet us at 9 a.m. Saturday morning, April 20 at the Napa Auto Parts parking lot, gloves on, tools in hand. There will be folks there, eager to give you a tool, if needed, an assignment and a buddy (if you don’t bring your own). For those who participate in this event, there will be a scrumptious lunch served at a place to be determined by two of our community’s service organizations, the Kiwanis and the Lions Club.
