Clayton Lee Farnsworth 1963-2016
Clayton Lee Farnsworth of Valley, Washington, passed away at his home on September 27, 2016 at the age of 52. He was born in Chewelah, Washington on October 20, 1963 the son of Magnes “Butch” Metlow and Bertha Farnsworth.
Clayton was raised and attended grade school in Valley and attended high school at Mary Walker High School in Springdale, WA. Clayton worked various jobs throughout his live. For a period of time he worked at a potato farm in Chewelah. He also spent time working as an Automotive Technician for C&T Auto in Spokane. Clayton loved spending time in the outdoors and much of his career was filled in the timber industry where he worked for several different logging companies.
With his love of the outdoors, he also greatly enjoyed hunting and cutting firewood. During the huckleberry season he would disappear into the mountains in search of the precious fruit. He had a deep love for his family especially his grandchildren who he spent as much time with as possible. Clayton was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Clayton was preceded in death by his loving sister, Tammy Carr and grandfather, Skeeze Metlow.
He is survived by his children, Joshua and Tracy Farnsworth of Valley, WA, Jessica and Mike Malsom of Spokane, WA, Justina Farnsworth of Spokane, WA; father, Magnes Metlow of Loon Lake, WA; mother, Bertha Matteson of Northport, WA; Archie “Frank” Metlow of Loon Lake, WA, David Carr of Valley, WA; adored nephew, Aaron and Lindsey Pettigrew of Chewelah, WA.
A memorial celebration for Mr. Farnsworth was held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Valley Grange, Valley, WA.
