The overall condition of the course is one of the best in years. From a golfer who played 80+ rounds in 2016:

Consistency. It’s the word I have heard more often than any other throughout my nearly 20 years of teaching golf to all levels of players. When I think of consistency I think of a repeatable swing and consistent yardages. To build a consistent swing a golfer needs to spend time on the driving range practicing the fundamentals such as grip, posture, setup, tempo, etc. It’s more fun to play the game of golf rather than practice, but the practice range is truly where we find the consistent golf swing.
Consistent yardages can be a little tricky to identify, but by utilizing this simple drill you can find your yardages will be more consistent. The best way to do this is to take 10 range balls and hit them full swing with your highest lofted club (possibly a sand wedge). After hitting the 10 balls write down on a note pad the “AVERAGE” distance the balls travelled. And proceed down through your irons and fairway woods tracking each clubs average distance. Write this data down at the end of your practice session and you’ll have more consistent yardages.
The biggest key to finding your yardages is remembering it’s the “average” yardage, not the perfect shot you might hit once in ten swings. Remember that in the spring or fall it might be necessary to use one more club as the ball travels about five percent to ten percent shorter in cooler weather. Good luck and keep practicing!
