St. Mary of the Rosary Catholic Church in Chewelah is hosting its third “Theology Uncorked” series. Folks who enjoy good food, fine wine, lots of fun, and would like to learn about Catholic Christian spirituality of the Cross are invited to come out and enjoy themselves with some good company Tuesday nights this Fall (September 13, 20, and 27). Theology Uncorked will take place each of these three nights beginning at 7 p.m. at St. Mary of the Rosary parish hall (Café di Maria). Folks are invited to bring wine, beer, or appetizers (finger foods) to share, and Fr. Jeff Lewis will present on different aspects of Catholic Christian spirituality of the Cross.
Catholics and non-Catholics alike are invited to join us and enjoy some wine and appetizers at Café di Maria. The dates and discussions are as follows:
Sept. 13: Veneration of the Cross — what the Cross means to Christians; the history of the Cross; popular Catholic Christian devotions regarding the Cross (such as the Sign of the Cross, Stations of the Cross, etc.)
Sept. 20: From the Bible, what are the Seven Last Words (spoken to the Cross)?
Sept. 27: From the Bible, what are the Seven Last Words (spoken from the Cross)?
