Susan Jean (Swanson) Hansen 1952-2018
Susan Jean (Swanson) Hansen, born in 1952, went to rest on Aug. 11, 2018 after winning her ongoing battle against cancer several times.
Known around town as “Sue” or “Suzie,” she gave out hugs freely, rarely stayed in one spot too long and had an infectious laugh.
Sue was born on March 23, 1952 to Carl and Joanne Swanson. She grew up with brother Steve (wife Chris) and sisters Judy (Monte), Lori (Jim) and Bobby.
Growing up in Colbert and going to school in Mead, Sue spent her time growing up riding horses through Gymkhana and exploring the countryside back when North Spokane had a countryside. She met life-long friend Carol Morgan during this time and the two kept up through the ages, and were usually up to mischief in some form or another.
Sue eventually had to trade in her horse for a car and then fell in love with cars. While her siblings will say she went through a few cars, Sue always said that none of the accidents were her fault. More
