CHEWELAH 64, NORTHWEST CHRISTIAN 39
Cougars take down Crusaders The Cougars ran roughshod all over the visiting Northwest Christian Crusaders in their Friday matchup, getting a game-high 19 from Lukas Kubik, to lead them to a resounding 64-39 win. Kubik and the Chewelah squad burst out of the gates with an opening 15-7 quarter lead and continued to build onto it the whole game, pushing their lead to 13 points by the half.
Not to be outdone, the Cougar defense clamped down on the Crusaders for most of the game, keeping NWC under ten points in all but the third quarter and playing a big role in the blistering 25 point win. Jaron Baldwin pitched in 10 points and the Cougars got another 9 from Jake George to aid in the win.
